so i had to wake up at 5 in the morning to be at the old quito airport for 6, because the bus leaves at 6:30, to the new airport. We were in the airport for at least about 2 hours or so. we bought food and candies for the plane. Our plane ride was about 5 hours all together, because we first had to go to Guyaquil to pick up more passengers. when we got to Galapagos, you stepped off the plane and it was a wave of heat... it was so humid, worse than florida (if you have ever been). But anyways, we were in line for about 20 minutes to collect our baggage and pay for the park. After this we were taken to our hotel and were given an hour before lunch. we had our lunch and we ended up going to a place that explains the evolution of the islands. Then we were given an hour at the beach. That night was the night i learnt a few card games, and a friend of mines toe nail came off. So off to the hospital for her. the next day was SNORKELING... :D the only down side to this was i did not have an underwater camera and i got burnt really bad. after this we went snorkeling in an area known as el leon dormido, or the sleeping lion. Unfortunately we did not see any sharks. we also went to a small lagoon beach type thing were we went swimming for 3 hours... oh and might i add that it was the PACIFIC. :) . that night was our last night in the island, and we went to the shops. I ended up buying a lot of stuff, including shirts and coffee. The next morning we were all up early to leave, they told us at exactly 7:30 we would be leaving for the docks.... we went out of our room at 7:20.... nobody was there.............. so the three of us ran as fast as we could, and just made it for our boat... whoops. we were on the boat for 4 hours, so we all just slept. The boat was a bit larger than a pontoon boat. We ended up stopping at another lagoon for a swim.... we jumped in........ i felt something burn me... so i got out right away, turns out quite a few of us got stung by jellyfish...... when we got out and looked into the water, all you could see were these little lines of black dots..... after that they took us to another place to swim.
About another hour later we got to the next island, and we left for a place known as Tortuga bay (turtle bay) and we had to walk for ONE hour to get to it, and it was not the firts beach, we had to walk along the first one to the second one because the first one is dangerous and kills about 30 people each year. We stayed for about 2 hours in total. The next day we went to another island to visit. This one is where we saw these HUGE turtles and how the island gets their water.
